NUCAVA provides advisory services to manufacturers and startups on how to improve their products and processes and how to make the most out of their data. This mix makes our services innovative and unique leveraging the state of the art developments to give our customers and edge.
The company’s initial focus is manufacturing, where it delivers AI in Manufacturing workshops, system implementations, and intelligent agents that work alongside factory teams to improve quality, reduce waste, and increase production efficiency. NUCAVA applies a platform‑based approach that scales across industrial and enterprise domains.
Our offices are in the Day Taylor House on Wethersfield Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut. This academic looking building is an Italianette architecture designed by Henry Austin, a famous architect that also designed a few other buildings in the New Haven area and on the Yale Campus. The building is also across the street form the Colt Mansion. We picked this building because it symbolizes our vision of working at the intersection of academia and industry to deliver high-impact results.

Andreas Savvides
Andreas Savvides, Ph.D, has over 20 years of leadership experience helping industrial customers succeed with IoT, edge, and cloud technologies. He began his career as a faculty member in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Yale University, where he conducted research in networked embedded systems. After nearly a decade in academia, he transitioned to industry by founding and selling a company in energy management and analytics. Since then, he has held senior leadership roles at Ameresco, Inc. (NYSE: AMRC), the largest independent energy services company in North America, and at Cognex Corporation (NASDAQ: CGNX), working with industrial machine vision systems. Dr. Savvides holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of California, San Diego; an M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst; and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Vassilis Karavas
Vassilis Karavas, Ph.D, is a seasoned international investment professional with extensive analytical and modeling skills in banking and asset management. Experienced in Originating, Evaluating, and Structuring investment opportunities in Alternative Investments (Private Equity, Renewable Energy, Hedge Funds, Real Estate). Dr. Karavas founded a group of companies focused on new products in energy, and green technology and has extensive experience in advising startups in the software and renewables space and often serves in fractional CFO and strategy roles. Dr. Karavas holds a BSc and MSc degree from the Technical University of Crete, a Ph.D. in Management Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an MBA from Oxford University.
Manthos Kazanzidis
Manthos Kazantzidis, Ph.D, has over 20 years of experience bridging cutting-edge research coupled with industrial-scale execution. A former UCLA Lecturer and Postdoctoral Scholar, he has a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into high-performance technical systems. He specializes on muti-tenant SaaS systems. His current work focuses on the evolving AI ecosystem and services. Dr. Kazanzidis served in multiple startup leadership roles and as consultant for Fortune 500 companies led the successful execution of multiple high scale projects. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Computer Science from UCLA, and a Management minor from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
